Growing Up Can Be Scary! This imgination play is great for Halloween. It's all about Childhood Hopes and Dreams. One dark summer night... four young friends enter an abandoned, dark mansion. The eeriness of the place lights their imaginations and soon they are telling each other stories, not about goblins, but the quiet fears of everyday life.

"Playwright Kathryn Schultz Miller's ability to find theatrical forms that hold the precious stuff of ideas together is quite remarkable."
Steven Anderson, Artistic Director, Catco, Columbus, OH

"Haunted Houses turned out great. Thank you for writing it. The kids were great and had lots of fun."
Allan Schmeltz, Director, Sutter Street Theatre, CA

The story begins on a summer night when four friends venture into the abandoned mansion looming above their town. What starts as a ghost story about the home’s mysterious resident quickly becomes a journey into imagination and self-discovery. Each character confronts fears shaped by rejection, hazing, isolation, and threats of abuse—phantoms that resonate with real-life challenges too many young people face.

In the end, they discover not just the courage to face their imagined ghosts, but the power to live more openly and help one another without fear. The play is rated G, making it a thought-provoking yet accessible production for audiences of all ages.
